| With the ever increasing attraction of on-line blogs, twitters and social networking, the Burnett forum has been created to enable global Burnetts to exchange ideas, share information, make announcements and pose questions.
A simple registration process is required to use the forum. Some personal details need to be submitted. This information will not be used to send you unsolicited junkmail. Only limited information will be accessible by other registered forum members. All fields highlighted with a red asterisk must be completed. You can choose your own user-name and password. Please make a note of these as you will need them for future forum access.
After registering you will need to log-on each time you wish to access the forum.
As a registered user you can browse, read messages and threads. You can respond or comment to existing messages or you can create new subjects for discussion. These actions are all achieved by selecting the various icon options. If you are unsure as to the function of an icon, simply move the mouse over the icon and a helpful description of its function will appear.
You can navigate through the various subject headings and discussions to read messages.
By selecting the correct icon, you can post a response to an existing message. Unless you select the 'send private e-mail' option, your response will be seen by all users. Any messages created by you can be edited using the 'edit' icon. You cannot change other people's messages. Forum administrators/moderators can change, delete or edit message content where appropriate.
You can start a new discussion or thread by selecting this option. Please ensure that it is placed in the correct section of the forum. Hopefully other forum members will respond to your message.
At any time there is a range of main headings. Occasionally there may be a requirement or request to add a new section or modify/delete an existing section. This cannot be done by registered members but can be done by asking a moderator or admistrator (Matt or Chris).
The success and value of a forum depends principally on the users and contributors. For every question you may have there will be an answer and that answer may well lie with another forum user. The exchange of knowledge, problem-solving and celebrating the long and distinguished Burnett heritage are all objectives of the forum.
Occasionally, either deliberately or unintentionally, content may appear on the forum that is inappropriate or undesirable. Whilst there is a level of automatic filtering and protection in place, some spurious content may evade the filters. As soon as is practical, the forum moderators will edit or remove this content. If you do find anything which you find offensive, please report this to the moderator.
Above all, please use the forum. It's free.
Don't be shy. Introduce yourself.
