Recently I found I may have a shared male ancestor between the 5th and 15th centuries with a male Burnett in Canada, who may be kin in the last few centuries.

I am interested in knowing if a shared male ancestor can be found from the Y DNA results in male Burnett family members.

I have been tested to be P312>ZZ11>DF27>ZZ12 and my family name is Millet (Mylett) originally from Waterford & Kilkenny, Ireland.

If any other male Burnett members are R-DF27 subclade positive & ZZ12, this could prove a kinship.

:-) Y-team :-)

Many thanks for your message.
Unfortunately my knowledge level regarding DNA is somewhat limited and I do not feel able to answer your question. Perhaps some member of the Forum may be able to help you?
Best wishes
