I just came across the Burnett website. I live in Shreveport, LA, but was born in Houma, which is in south Louisiana. I spent 27 years on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. working as a congressional aide --11 years as a press secretary for U.S. Rep. F. Edward Hebert and 16 years as a chief of staff for U.S. Rep. Jerry Huckaby. I retired from the federal government and am now a political columnist. I also publish a political newsletter that has subscribers in 17 Louisiana cities and 15 states. My website is www.faxnetupdate.com. I am just interesting in learning more about the Burnett name. As far as I know, my Dad came from Kentucky to Texas then to Louisiana where he met my mother, who was Cajun. |
