The 2005 Burnett Gathering
In 2005 over 100 Burnetts from many countries gathered at Crathes for four days of activities which included Dinner at
House of Crathes, Guided Tour of the Crathes Gardens, Tours of the North East including visits to Muchalls Castle, Fasque
House, Fettercairn Distillery, Aberdeen Cathedrals and other places of interest, a Reception at Crathes Castle to Launch The
Holly and the Horn, followed by a dinner at the Milton Restaurant, visit to the Loch of Leys and the first journey on the
newly restored Deeside Railway Line, a visit to the Aboyne Games, a Ceilidh at the Woodend Barn and a visit to the Crannog
on the Loch of Leys in addition to much time to enjoy Crathes Castle and its Gardens and grounds.
The final event was an Alice in Wonderland themed Garden Party at Crathes to mark the wedding of Alexander and Vinny
Burnett. It is regrettable that a full portfolio of photographs is not yet available but the accompanying pictures provide a
